Welcome to my website, thank you for taking time to visit.
My name is Susan Davies and I am about to take you on a tour of my website and explain how Complementary Therapies such as Reflexology, Holistic/Remedial & Aromatherapy Massage can improve the quality of your health and wellbeing and also support you while you are undergoing conventional healthcare procedures.
My first experience of Complementary Therapies including Reflexology was in 2003 following the birth of my daughter. I developed a cough which I couldn’t relieve, and my coughing was keeping me, and my family awake all night. As I was feeding my baby, I refused to take any over the counter remedies and a friend recommended I should try Reflexology. Although I had heard of Reflexology I had never received the treatment, therefore researched reflexologists in Cardiff and fortunately found a therapist who was able to see me by the end of the week. I can’t recall much about how the treatment felt, however I left the clinic totally amazed at how much the reflexologist was able to tell about my health, past and present, just from my feet, and from that moment on I became totally fixated by this therapy. Over the years I returned to have treatments on several occasions, not to the same therapist, but different ones, and every time they were able to alleviate the symptoms I was presenting with. In the meantime, I also researched the therapeutic value of essential oils and loved being treated to the occasional massage. Twelve years later after serious consideration I decided to take a break from my career in education and retrain as a Complementary Therapist.
In 2019 I graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University with a First Class Honours Degree in Complementary Therapy with Practitioner Status in Clinical Reflexology, Aromatherapy and Holistic Massage. Taking a career break was a huge gamble to take but I have no regrets, simply many happy memories and a whole new future in helping people who may not feel at the top of the game in terms of physical and mental well-being.
As a professional therapist I am fully insured, I have a current enhanced DBS certificate and a member of several professional complementary healthcare bodies. One of the legal requirements of a professional therapist is that we undergo annual Continual Professional Development and I have evidence of this by undergoing additional Courses in Reproreflexology™ with the award winning Barbara Scott of Seren Fertilty; Reflexology for Conception and Reflexology for Pregnancy with Teach Therapy.
Many people turn to complementary therapies for support present with stress, anxiety or low mood, and I have to say reflexology can be extremely beneficial in supporting these issues, but in addition to this my particular interest is in women’s health, menstrual irregularities, peri/post menopause, and musculoskeletal pain.
My promise to you as a client and me as a Complementary Therapist is to provide you with a professional, caring and empathetic environment where you can feel safe to relax and unwind. I tailor my treatments to meet the specific needs of the individual and therefore can incorporate a variety of different reflexology and massage techniques into your treatment plan to ensure that you get the most benefit from the treatment.
I am a fluent Welsh Speaker with Welsh being my first language so please feel free to message me in Welsh if this is your preference.
