Aromatherapy

The English Word Aromatherapy is derived from the French word “Aromatherapie” a term which the French Chemist Gattesfosse derived in the 1930’s. Gattesfosse understood that aromatherapy, and using essential oils in a specific manner was a classic allopathic therapy which when used with conventional medicine could be used to treat disease.

During the 21st Century Aromatherapy emerged as one of the most popular complementary therapies, partly because essential oils became readily more available to purchase, and also because of the ways essential oils can be incorporated into so many different products, perfumes, soaps, lotions, creams, inhalation sticks and bath oils.

The wide array of essential oils and their wonderful aromas can help every mood and feeling. Their therapeutic powers are remarkable, and anyone can benefit from aromatherapy from young babies to the elderly.

Please feel free to contact me for further information on how using Essential Oils may be of benefit to you.

There may be some situations when aromatherapy treatments may be contraindicated, and if this is the case I will advise you accordingly, and suggest another form of complementary therapy to support you.
